2025-26 Cowley Women's Track Schedule
With Cowley College sophomore Esteban Boisseau capping an incredible sophomore campaign with an individual national title in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, and Lady Tiger freshmen pole vaulters Ke’Mauria Burnham and Aaliyah Treat garnering All-American honors, the Cowley men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams battled the wind and heat to place in the top 20 of the NJCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships held Thursday through Saturday in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Getting a pair of All-American performances from freshmen pole vaulters Ke’Mauria Burnham and Aaliyah Treat, the Cowley College women’s track and field team is in fourth place after day one of the NJCAA Division 1 Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships held Thursday in Hobbs, New Mexico.
With the national championships beginning later this week in Hobbs, New Mexico, the nationally ranked Cowley College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams got in a final tune-up while competing at the Wichita State University Last Chance Meet on Friday.
With the opportunity to host the NJCAA Region VI Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday through Saturday at the Mark A. Phillips’ Athletic Complex, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams placed second in the conference. The Lady Tigers finished fifth in the region, while the Tiger men placed sixth.
Getting ready to host the Jayhawk Conference/Region VI Championships this Thursday through Saturday, the Cowley College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams had some good performances leading up to the meet while competing against 14 other schools and a total of 374 athletes at the Fort Hays State University Alex Francis Classic on April 23 in Hays, KS.
Having battled the elements nearly every meet this spring, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams enjoyed a good day weather-wise while taking part in the Emporia State University Relays. The Tigers set several personal bests and had a new national qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles from Zuzana Bokova.
On a weekend when the weather threw everything at the Cowley College track and field teams but the kitchen sink, the Tigers still had a productive meet while competing in the Grizzly Gold on Friday and Saturday in El Dorado, KS.
Breaking a school record that had stood for 16 years, Cowley College freshman Ke’Mauria Burnham continued her incredible season by surpassing Katie Gilmore’s mark in the pole vault while taking part in the Friends University Spring Invitational on Thursday and Friday in Wichita, KS.
Hosting the Mark A. At the Phillips Tiger Classic on Saturday in Arkansas City, the nationally ranked Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams honored the late coach's memory by achieving 7 national qualifiers and 10 heat wins.
Becoming the fifth Lady Tiger to win the individual pole vault national championship, freshman Aaliyah Treat’s performance helped the Cowley College women’s track and field team place ninth at the NJCAA Indoor National Track and Field Championships hosted by Washburn University on Friday and Saturday in Topeka, KS.
Getting important points from its pole vaulters and shot putters, the Cowley College women’s track and field team captured its third straight Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division title. At the same time, the Tiger men finished third at the Region VI/Jayhawk Conference Championships held Saturday and Sunday in Pittsburg, KS.
Finishing as the highest NJCAA finisher and tying a Cowley College school record in the pole vault at the Washburn University Ichabod Invitational, Tiger freshman Ke’Mauria Burnham has been named the NJCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week to become the third athlete from the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference to earn the award in 2026.
School-record performances from Cowley College’s Ke’Mauria Burnham and Hutchinson’s Mildred Rono have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for the pair after strong showings at the Washburn University Ichabod Invitational last week.
Led by freshman Ke’Mauria Burnham, who tied the school record in the women’s pole vault, the nationally ranked Cowley College women’s and men’s indoor track and field teams got in a final tune-up before the Region Championships by competing at the Washburn University Ichabod Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Topeka, KS.
Taking split squads to compete on Friday and Saturday at Missouri Southern University and Northwest Missouri State, the nationally ranked Cowley College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams achieved five national qualifying performances and heat wins.
Getting numerous national qualifying performances and heat wins on Friday and Saturday, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams did well while having the majority of its athletes take part in the Wilson Invite at Wichita State University, and a handful of others competed at the Washburn University Open and Multis in Topeka, KS.
